Great Resources for Educational Toys, Magazines, and More!
The following are some of my favorite online resources for purchasing challenging games, interesting magazines, and fantastic workbooks for weekend and/or summer enrichment:
Mindware - www.mindware.com
This site is amazing for gifted children. They gear their products towards advanced learners. If you are looking for a fun gift idea, check it out!
Bright Ideas for the Gifted and Talented - www.brightideascatalog.com
This is a wonderful resource filled with critical and creative thinking activities. Most of the games in my classroom can be found on this site.
Lego Education - www.legoeducation.us
I am a huge fan of Legos so I visit the Lego store in Kenwood frequently to see their new architectural design series. Legos help students build their imagination, learn to follow steps, build patience, and so much more. This catalog features more advanced Legos such as the Lego Mindstorms.
Prufrock Press - www.prufrock.com
This is a national resource for gifted and advanced learners. There are resources for parents, children, and teachers.
